Maipakpi Maternity and Child Hospital (MMCH) was established on July 10, 2006, by Dr. Khoirom Tomba Singh, who took voluntary retirement to fulfill his late mother’s dream of improving maternal and child health in Manipur. The hospital aims to reduce maternal and perinatal mortality rates through quality antenatal and postnatal care, especially for low socioeconomic groups. Dr. Singh’s motivation stemmed from his mother’s encouragement to pursue medicine despite financial hardships. Today, MMCH continues to serve the community, focusing on family planning and infertility issues.
