About Us
Association of Healthcare Providers (India) represents the vast majority of healthcare providers in India. Registered under the Indian Society Registration Act of 1860 as a “not-for-profit” organization, AHPI is dedicated to advancing the healthcare sector by educating its members and advocating for policies with the government, regulatory bodies and other key stakeholders.
AHPI works with all stake holders in establishing a national system where, common man can avail assured universal access to basic health services.
Association of Healthcare Providers (India) – Manipur Chapter – represents the state of Manipur working towards achieving AHPI India’s mission.
As one of the state chapters of Association of Healthcare Providers (India), it operates as a non-profit organization and advocates with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders on issues affecting its member organizations of Manipur in particular, India in general.
It aims to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare services to the local population community. The chapter is led by an empowered executive body assisting member organizations in continuously improving their systems, processes and outcomes in alignment with the association’s vision, mission and objectives.
In addition to the initiatives to improve the overall awareness and standards of healthcare in the state, it also assists its members in emergencies and crisis situations by team up in the best possible way.
Partnering with other like-minded organisations, individuals, government bodies, in a short period of time, the chapter has successfully organised many awareness events, training, focussing improving overall health of the people of Manipur, safety of the healthcare professionals. AHPI aims at integrating healthcare providers to work jointly with the stakeholders including government and society for WELL BEING of common man and build healthy INDIA.
Mission
We are dedicated to work with all stakeholders to create a framework of healthcare system with a focus on Manipur, ensuring universal access to basic healthcare services for everyone. The association will support its members and partner organizations in advancing healthcare improvements in Manipur, raise safety level at work and contribute more for a healthier society.

Dr. Palin Khundongbam, CMD of Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI) Pvt. Ltd is a distinguished entrepreneur and accomplished plastic and aesthetic surgeon in the region. From a humble clinic in 1985, he journeyed to an NABH super speciality hospital and then to the first homegrown private medical college in NE India. Today at SHRI 1600 caregivers are working towards making Manipur as one of the medical education and tourism destinations of the world.
